Featured makers for August.

Better late than never ! its been a whirlwind few weeks  and I am sorry that this is a bit later than normal.  Our two new makers have had a couple of weeks at Margot already but let me introduce them …. firstly we have Lizzie Lee,  ex design graduate , mother and now a talented designer maker  based in nearby Shoreham by Sea.  Lizzie makes a range of lampshades, tealight lanterns and home accessories using recycled milk bottles as her primary material. She then fuses  swatches and pieces of vintage crocheted fabrics and lace within the layers of plastic. This process  creates a delicate, ethereal surface which lets  the light shine through. At Margot  we love Lizzie’s  delicate lampshades and coordinating ceramic lace covered door knobs.

To find out more about Lizzie’s sustainable design  ethos and see her full range  find her online at http://www.lizzielee.com/

You can follow her on Facebook here https://www.facebook.com/lizzieleelighting/

Our second maker ( or makers) are Maria  Perryman and Kay Piper, who are known as Two P’s in a Pod.

Worthing based friends Maria and Kay  are passionate makers and are really connected to the local crafting community,  they work on numerous  arts and crafts but are showing their  range of charming wooden gifts at Margot.  Each piece has been hand painted and we have a range of money boxes, coasters,  small framed artworks, Kokeshi doll figures and little boats in different sizes available.  at Margot we  especially love the little boats and think that they make great small gifts.

You can follow the girls on Facebook here Two P’s in a Pod. and keep track of the  craft fairs and other events that they will be taking part in.
